CRIMINAL LAW - OF COUNSEL SERVICES

Appellate and Litigation Assistance for Busy Practitioners

I have represented hundreds of criminal defendants over the years. When I was a public defender, I was sometimes pejoratively referred to as "a true believer" by state attorneys. I am a true believer in the rights of the accused and that the justice system is often anything but just. Whether you are looking for some help on a criminal appeal or writ, or simply looking for an extra hand on a case, you will find me dedicated to your client's cause.

CIVIL AND CRIMINAL LITIGATION ASSISTANCE

An Experienced Litigator to Help You Behind the Scenes,

When You Need It Most

The daily grind of a litigation practice is always demanding and often exhausting. I understand the challenges of litigation. As both a civil and criminal litigator, I spent thousands of hours in courts all over the State of Florida. I have taken hundreds of depositions and represented clients in over a hundred trials.

In addition to drafting civil and criminal pleadings, motions, and memorandums, I serve as a litigation consultant to solos and small firms. Lawyers are welcome to call me from the court's hallway for research assistance. I can email you case law while you argue your motion. If a judge asks for a memorandum or more case law during a hearing and gives you a short deadline, I can begin working on it before you have left court.

Let me help you maintain your sanity and, who knows, maybe even take a vacation!

APPELLATE ADVOCACY

Civil and Criminal Appellate Drafting and Case Management

I provide primarily ghostwriting services for litigation and appellate lawyers. This service allows  lawyers to take on  appeals beyond their firm's capacity, and still earn the majority of the fee. My rates are surprisingly affordable.

Don't do appeals yet, but want to expand your practice? Appeals can be a very lucrative way to bring in new clients. If you love the limelight of court, but aren't exactly interested in spending 40 hours writing a brief - you can still be an appellate lawyer. I can draft the briefs and then help you prepare for oral argument. I have argued before the Third District and Fourth District Courts of Appeal in Florida. I have prepared other lawyers to perform oral argument in several Florida appellate courts and before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
